InsaneFunding vs Funding Pips: how to compare them properly

Funding Pips is one of the most searched prop firms, so we get asked how we differ almost every day. We will not publish numbers for another firm that we cannot verify and that can change without notice. Instead, here are our exact terms in full, plus the six questions that actually decide which firm suits you. Check the same points on their current terms page and the comparison answers itself.

Six questions to ask before you buy any challenge

Is drawdown measured on balance or equity?

Equity-based drawdown is stricter, because floating losses on open positions count immediately. We measure daily drawdown on equity and say so up front — a firm that only mentions 'balance' may still liquidate you differently in practice.

How is the consistency rule calculated?

Ours caps any single trade or trading day at 40% of the profit target, so one lucky trade cannot pass a phase. Ask any firm for the exact percentage and the base it is measured against.

When does the payout clock start?

Ours starts on your first trade, not on purchase date, and needs at least +5% profit. Check whether a competitor counts calendar days from purchase, which can be much slower in practice.

What is the real profit split, and when does it apply?

We pay up to 80%, with the first payout split at 50% and 80% afterwards — stated plainly rather than as a headline number with hidden conditions.

Are EAs and news trading allowed?

We allow Expert Advisors when the add-on is selected at checkout, but never HFT robots, and we restrict trading around high-impact news events. Vague wording here is the most common cause of surprise breaches at any firm.

Can a payout be independently verified?

Every funded trader gets a certificate with a QR code that resolves to a public verification page on our site. Ask whether a competitor offers verifiable proof or only screenshots.

Which one should you pick?

If you want the shortest route to funded capital, our Phase 1 path is a single +8% phase with no second evaluation. If you prefer smaller targets and more room to be wrong, the 2-Step path splits it into +5% and +5% for one one-time fee. Either way, read both rulebooks side by side before paying — the rules, not the headline split, are what decide whether you keep an account.
